Fees and what each is for
- Registration
- Covers the enrollment file and holds a place in a room.
- Materials
- Covers art supplies and the picture books and song cards we replace through the year.
- Field trips
- Covers the transport for the few outings the rooms take in spring.
The language of each part of the day is how we plan it, not a promise of what a child will say. Children take a new language at their own pace, and teachers use songs, pictures and gestures so every child can follow.

How the languages share the day
- Mandarin
Mornings in Mandarin
From arrival to lunch the teachers speak Mandarin with the children: the greeting, circle time, songs, work at the shelves and snack.
- English
After lunch in English
On school days the afternoon is in English, with a story, outdoor play and a closing circle. Children who stay for mornings only go home before lunch.
- English or Mandarin
At the door, in English
Parents talk with the teachers in English at drop-off and pickup, and the director answers calls and messages in Mandarin or English.
